Liverpool Countdown Has Begun

There is less than 50 days left for the Clipper 2017-18 races to start in the month of August. The race will begin on 20th August with slipping lines function at UNESCO waterfront Albert Dock in the city. The chairman and founder of the Clipper Race, Sir Robin Knox- Johnston said that the journey of the Clipper Race started about a year ago and now the excitement is building up amongst everyone. Liverpool is one of the vibrant communities and there have been best of experiences in the past and hence the team was so keen to come back. There will be a whole lot of things to see and hence they hope to see everyone joining them to make the event a truly remarkable event for the entire city and crew members.

The event is more likely to mark the come back to Liverpool and race organizers are excited and looking forward to make the show a grand success. The assistant Mayor of Liverpool, Wendy Simon said that he is eagerly waiting to welcome back the great Clipper Round the World Yacht Race. When all the yachts reach the Albert Dock, it will be a great sight and will add up to the excitement of the start. There has been a great affection seen for this particular event with the best memories since the time they have been given an opportunity to host the event in the past. The supporters and crew members can certainly expect to be welcomed in a magnificent way.

Liverpool is all set to bid to be the candidate city of the UK to be hosting Commonwealth Games 2022. It will make use of the platform of the race globally so as to raise its legacy and profile internationally. The city is hoping to motivate new set of sailors of this generation in the port city.
